Currently

Loving: All the love that Felicity gets at work. There is a constantly flow of student who come in to see her and it really makes me happy. The crazy funny things my 3 year comes up with or says. Like reading to Felicity in Spanish (in case you didn't know - he doesn't know Spanish!!)

Reading: In an Instant: A Family's Journey of Love and Healing by Lee and Bob Woodruff - it's teaching me that it can all change so fast and you never know what is on the other side.

Watching:  Downton Abbey is back...thank you PBS. Oh how I love that show. It's also nice to be all caught up on Grey's Anatomy, with a little HGTV mixed it.

Listening to: Kelly Clarkson - just been in a Kelly mood. Also the new song from Audio Adrenaline makes me so happy (I am so glad they were able to team up with Kevin Max from DC Talk!!) What the video here.

Thinking about: All the things I want to do in our new house. Pinterest sucks me in every time and I get lost just decorating rooms I don't even have yet! Follow along here.

Looking forward to: Finding a house! We have put in an offer but someone else beat us to it. So we are back on the search! Also on Saturday while everyone expect Felicity and I are at Monster Jam we will be enjoying Breakfast with Shamu! (with some great friends and my mom)

Making me happy: We took the kids to Sea World on Monday and it was a great trip. I am glad we are closer now, we just spent a few hours there and met up with some friends. Felicity is constantly saying mama and calling for me! My new Keurig I got for Christmas! It is awesome.
 Thanks Kara for the idea.

Learning to hold His hand

Yesterday was a much needed day with my mom. This week has been crazy for both of us and I think we both craved seeing each other. Today I wanted to make sure I really listened my mom. Sometimes it's easy to tune out the people we hear on a regular basis but I (as a 28 year old) still love the sound of my mothers voice. It can instantly change my mood, call me to attention, comfort me. My Mom and I were not that close while I was growing up but as I entered college I finally realized how important she was to me and the women/wife I would become.
I could (maybe someday) write a book on the amazing things my mom has taught me in just the last 2 years alone. But today with the help of a good friend she taught me how important it is to hold God's hand. It's easy to pray and wait for God to answer your prayers but while waiting are you holding His hand? Or are you constantly doubting what he can do?
The beginning of this week was crappy for me - I know I was a joy to be around! By Wednesday I was over it and FINALLY said okay God it's your turn now. Boy, did he listen to that, he completely turned my week around. As my mom and I were sharing with each other the ups and downs of our week she said, "when I was worried I would just hold His hand." She then told me how her very good friend Bev (yes they have the same name) said "isn't his hand so soft?" I never thought of it that way before.
This morning at church as I was processing and planning for the upcoming week I asked God to remind me to hold his hand when I get overwhelmed. I know this week will be better because I will hold his hand.

Five Months

* and we're back from vacation...well more like I've been crazy busy and didn't post for a while!

Weight: we are guessing around 18
Height: 26 or so
Clothes: Most of her 3-6 months are too small, 6 months fitting pretty good
Diapers: size 2, but we have purchased 3s

What she is up to this month:
I thought she was chewing on everything last month but we can tell that these teeth are really coming in now! We are constantly rotating the teething rings that we have stored in the fridge.
blowing raspberries
found her feet
rolling all over the place
sitting up for a few minutes by herself and sitting up really well with help.

What she loves:
cold teething rings
Her new car seat toy
talking to everyone
Alabama Football RTR

What she doesn't love:
All the roughness that Aiden has been sending her way. So far in just this week he has punched her in the face twice, tried to have a pillow fight with her, and kicked her (gently) in the face! She is going to be one tough cookie.

We have our 5 month check-up at the end of the month. We should be starting food around that time.
