Rocking the Lunch Box

I have shared on here Aiden's lack of eating during lunch at school so when I was offered the chance thru Influencer to sample some great lunch options I was really excited. Aiden was also pretty excited. I waited not so patiently for my envelope of coupons for free products to arrive. We got coupons for Annie's Homegrown, Honest juice boxes, Rudi's bread products, and Applegate. We headed off to Target for a little shopping fun. Aiden got to pick out the items which he had a great time with.

He settled on cheese pizza bagels, a multi pack of Annie's snacks(it came with cheddar bunnies, chocolate chip bunnies and square cheddar crackers), Rudi's whole wheat bagels, and the ham & cheese half-time. - I have no idea why I didn't take a picture of all his goodies but by the time I remember he had gobbled them up!

On Monday we packed a nice lunch. I added peanut butter for the bagel but Aiden wasn't impressed with that. He loved the Annie's bunnies - He made sure that I sampled them too and I agree with him - they are pretty tasty. So the next day we switched out the bagel for the cheese frozen bagels (We cooked them the day before and I slip them into snack bags) those were a hit!

That sweet boy could not wait to show me his lunch box and we have been on a roll ever since. He is so excited to share his empty lunch box each day.

The pizza bagels made for great lunchs and a nice afternoon snack - we both enjoyed those.

The Rudi's bagels weren't a huge hit with Aiden so I ended up eating most of them. There were okay but not as good as fresh ones. I think next time I would chose something else, like the tortillas.

The Applegate half-time snack was a great afternoon stack for Aiden. I am glad we didn't send it to lunch with him since he had some trouble getting the packaging open. But he gobbled it right up. He just wanted to know where the drink was!

Aiden loved the honest juice boxes as well but they were a little hard for him to open sometimes. We ended up adding the Annie's multi-pack and bagel bites to our weekly shopping list.

My mom was so proud of me that I came up with this whole Rock the Lunchbox idea and I felt bad when I had to break the news to her that it really wasn't my idea but thanks to Influencer, Aiden has been rocking his lunch box the last 3 weeks!

Weekend Update

Valentine's Weekend was a great weekend.

We spent Friday night per normal - pizza and a movie - we picked up Alexander and terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day - it was so funny both the kids liked it and we all shared some great laughs.

Yummy heart pancakes for breakfast.

Lots of playing and a Chick-fli-a lunch with our little valentines before they headed off to Grandpa and Grandma's for a sleepover.

Jesse and I make a quick stop to Ikea - thinking about a new dresser for our room.

Then we made our way to the AMC Dine -in theater at Downtown Disney. We saw Jupiter Ascending -enough sci-fi for Jesse and enough flirting for me.

A little sleeping in for us and we headed to church and then a parents only trip to Target which was wonderful! Then our sleeping children came home and stayed sleeping! Holy cow the things I got done!

Once those sweet kiddos woke up we headed to a fun night at the fair (it's so nice we just walk across the street.) We stayed up too late and ate too much junk food but it was wonderful.

Felicity spent the first 20 minutes like this

but once the animals were introduced she was totally on board.

They did a little 4-wheeling.

I love that these college kids just love my kids-Felicity stuck to sweet Macie like glue and would call for her. They were playing fish and it just melted my heart.

We came home and fell into bed.

This sweet man sent me flowers at work and I heard a rumor that a new Alex & Ani was ordered - he sure is a keeper

Here's to a great week ahead!

Friday Finds & my first Ipsy bag

A few things I found this week

I know the SuperBowl was a few weeks ago but we are still talking about that shark so why not talk about Katy and God too.

This is one brave mom I think Felicity would dress me like a princess and Aiden would pick pj's and t-shrits everyday.

A kid friendly recipe and helps get rid of boxed foods.

I told Jesse I would be seeing this in the theater.

The office supply hoarding in me is squealing with joy over these.

and the chocoholic is jumping for joy about this.

I found plenty of posts on 50 shades of (insert your choice of words here) but over all I am a strong believer in junk in = junk out. So I didn't read it and I won't be watching it.

Also today my first Ipsy Glam bag arrived. I looked at a couple different subscriptions before I settled on the glam bag and so this month is pretty good. Here a picture of all my goodies:

I am most excited about the Eva NYC/Up All Night Volumizing Spray. Not becuase I need volume -AT ALL but because it's also a texture spray which is good for messy buns!

I already tried the lip gloss and it's a little too club going for this momma. It isn't sticky like most glosses but the color is not me.

Enjoy your weekend full of pink and hearts!!!

Note: By clicking the ipsy link above and subscribing I will recive ipsy points that can be used to purchase extra items.
